neway another day we went 2 kathrine gorges on a full day trip cannoing up through the amazing view of the gorges. excellent day caught the sun had a wim ammazing place, also the funniest thing since weve been travelling happend! the story goes,,,, me kirk and dave were kayaking in our 3 single kyak or canoes watevrer u call em! we set off at 9 am! and had 2 return at 5. u row upstream against the current and later cum back down when ur tired!! and we finally arrived at the first set of rapids. everybody there was getting out of there canoees and pulling it up through the rapids while walkin on the slippery stones. neway us 3 arrived and i decided 2 have a try at paddiling up through the rapids and i could se it wasnt goin to happen so just cum back down, as then dave had a little try and we figured u cant go up rapids the current is just 2 strong and the rocks get in the way! so as we were getting out of canoes making our waly pulling them trough the rocks kirk or "mick dundee" as he was calling himself decided he could do it! so as him famous words cum out of his mouth " out the way lads, let mc dundee show u how its done" off he goes me and dave still pulling canoes up through rapids, kirk is paddling up against rapids with that the rapids throw his boat in2 a rock and started 2 fill up with water! me and dave allready laufin, he screams "shit my boats filling up" then he is trying to move the boat but the rapids have him pinned on the rock, the boat by now is full. he manages to get out hand me his barrel (filled up with camera etc)and ore and drink! and the boat is tottaly filled up and wedged on the rock, by now me and dave r in hysterics mocking his wprds "ill show u how its done." then he is trying his hardest to tip or even move the cannoe but cant bcus its full up of water. me and dave just cracking up, also at this time there was babout fifty plus older tourists on the rocks all getting back onto there tour boat. all looking at kirk taking pictures. me and dave just laufin cus he cant move it, then he shouts "stop fucking laufing and help me" which instantly remined me of when dad fell out of the cannoe at the park back home one day and shouted the same thing. was so funny. by kirk shoutin those words i must admit it! i began to lauf so hard i started wettin myself literally! as there was no point holding back cus i was soaked in a river! so i just let it out! lmao! finally after taking a pic of "mick dundee in action" he finally emptied the boat and carried on, was a brilliant day just the views are amazing and we found a waterfall in2 a natural swimming pool were we chilled for a wile! weary of the crocs!
