This was our leap of faith camping experience. We opted out of a high-priced provincial campground and some locals in Schreiber told us about Hays Lake. It was a mile drive over pretty rough gravel to get there, but once we made it, we had the place to ourselves - full double rainbow, great sunset, and a perfect view of the solid stream of crows flying to their evening roosts. We managed not to get eaten by bears yet another night, so we'll count that a win.
