Honeymooned
We couldn't have asked for more from a honeymoon spot. The Lutsen resort has a great history rooted in a fishing pioneer and homesteader (Nelson got 160 acres for $13), the lodge and grounds are wonderfully rustic yet very comfortable (pool, game room, dining room, bar, nature trail, two awesome covered bridges, waterfalls, cliffs, sandy beach, multiple firepits:). We enjoyed fine dining, live folk music, sea kayaking, mountain luge, gondola rides to a spectacular view of Superior, skipping stones, checkers, and fires every night.
The lake is cold and the mosquitos a bit pesky after dark, but the moon was was full and the romance was well-hosted:)
