The lake

Today was kinda cool. We picked up my dad and stepmom at the airport last night, and today they wanted to see the Charlotte area. They ended up being as excited about the area as we are. We just drove around and looked at neighborhoods, then we went downtown to drop Albert off at work for a couple of hours. He was just finishing up some loose ends for this office. The rest of us had lunch and then wandered around, soaking up the ambience. The best part of the day was when all of us drove through an area called Tega Cay near Lake Wylie. The houses are beautiful and most have lake views, if not lake access. We happened to pass one that was for sale, and the owner invited us in to check it out. What a neat house! There's a large backyard that slopes down to the lake, and 2 decks, one on each story of the house. We all found ourselves fighting over who would get to buy it! (Theoretically of course.) When we think of how high the prices are around our own area, it's just crazy to think that we could buy a 5 bedroom, 3 bath house with a forest in the backyard and lake access. And a huge jacuzzi tub in the master suite. And a fireplace. And a lot of other pretty stuff. For $234,000. Unbelievable.
