We're now in Richmond, VA. I can't believe we're already halfway through our trip! It's going amazingly fast. I'm sooooo glad  we decided to do all of this is an RV rather than living in and out of suitcases at hotels for all these months. I love having our house and our critters travel along with us. Although we're always somewhere new, with different things to explore (when there's time) we always have the same home to go back to. We've been very comfortable in the trailer. It suits all our needs. Even the 'furkids'  seem to really like it. My cat, who is notoriously shy and skittish, seems happier here than at home. Even if neighbor campers are milling around outside, she just watches them through the window, fascinated. At home, she dashes under the couch whenever she sees someone outside. And Brandy loves having new things to sniff and people to slurp! It's working out really well.
All of the places we've visited here on the East side are in a terrible drought. We've seen some of the reservoirs, and they are awfully low. Most counties in several states have enacted severe water restrictions, and some are even contemplating water rationing soon. It's been unseasonably hot-we should definitely be in crisp, cool sweater weather by now. Not so. It's still hot and muggy. But today we got a break. This morning the news said we had a chance for a bit of rain today. A BIT of rain?!? It's been POURING all day! We barely had a break long enough that I could run Brandy outsided real quick to do her 'business'. It's great! I love the sound of the rain. The 'kids' are spooked, especially when there's thunder, but Albert and I love it! Hopefully this helps with the reservoirs.

The campground we're at has full hookups, thank goodness. No more worrying about the tanks, and we can take a shower at home! The spaces are a little close together, but not bad. It's just as foresty as the previous parks we've stayed at, and we never get tired of the trees. Not bad.

great pic!
I am glad to hear that you both are comfortable! It sounds that you are having a blast despite the little road bumps. Hey I love the picture of Albert driving and Brandy!

histericaled-out
All that history and culture! At least you got to get some fun in. That 'coaster looked like fun! Was it as good as that new one at Disney World in the 'mine'? And the weather you're having--don't worry, it's weird all over the place these days. Just be glad you missed 'San Diego Burning'. At least you can breathe out where you are now. Hope the mechanicals on the truck hold up. Can't wait for the next installment!
