What I did
We had lunch at Ginos East!
Lynda and I had a great nights sleep at the "Inn of Chicago", it felt good to get a good nights sleep and a nice shower! When we got up we asked the concierge for a good place to eat and he immediately suggested “Gino's East” a nice local hangout with great Chicago style pizza. The décor was interesting with graffiti on ALL the walls, it made for an interesting experience. The story goes when they first opened the restaurant someone had written something on the wall and when they put up a sign “Do NOT write on walls” that’s all it took! They had some nice pleasant soft 70’s rock playing in the background and for dessert we had the canolli’s, they were delicious! We are now in the first class lounge (since we have a sleeper on this leg) waiting to board the train within the next 10 minutes. It is very quiet, comfortable and COOL compared to the main part of the Union Station. I will update you when I can, I hope all my friends and family are enjoying this blog, comment when you can so I know your out there reading it!
