Lynda and I had a nice breakfast this morning, spinach quiche with potatoes, biscuit, coffee and juice. The attendant filled all the tables so we had the opportunity of sitting with a woman by the name of Mary who was taking her niece name Montana to Montana. They were going to rent some horses and ride up into the Glacier National Forest, they were very good company. One of my favorite parts of riding on the train is meeting interesting people. Before breakfast we met a woman name Tiffany from Portland, she and her boyfriend are going all the way to Washington DC then onto Pennsylvania. They will be riding their bikes back to Portland from Pennsylvania she said it would take about 2 months!

We picked up a couple of volunteers from the national park service when we pulled into Whitefish Montana and they will be narrating the trip through Glacier and the Rocky Mountains. They have some very interesting stories to tell, very informative. We are currently experiencing a medical emergency onboard, they have one of the cars blocked off and have stopped the train. I have no idea what's going on…. The ambulance just pulled up and they are taking someone off the train here in the town of Belton in West Glacier MT. (I found out that he died, he was only 27 years old and he was traveling by himself).

Today is very overcast and rainy; hopefully it will clear up before we get into the Rockies……
