We were originally going to the Statue of Liberty but I didn't try to get ferry tickets far enough in advance so we had to switch gears. It turned out to be a great choice and a lovely excursion to a gorgeous garden and impressive mansion. We topped it off with a dinner at a perfect seafood restaurant that used to be Crabby Dan's, now the Fishery Grill, in Glen Head.
