Ordinarily I wouldn't have included this in my trip blog, but I took some photos of the new snow and Kara invited me to go to see the King's Speech at our favorite independent theater in Albany - the Spectrum - so I am adding my return day.

I flew into Atlanta Georgia at 6 am or so and had a crab cake breakfast despite my provisions of granola bars and apple chips.  Then I continued to read one of my new books until the flight left just before 10 am.  The flight had quite a few empty seats...at least one per section of three.  Behind I heard the conversation of two young women.  One was going to a Bible camp in the Adirondacks for 4 months and was very excited since she had never seen snow.  There was some giving of testimony and recounting of former vices, including drugs.  i heard something about lighting up and burning Vicks but I am not sure about how all that owrked because I couldn't hear the all the details.  Near the end of the flight, the women prayed for each other until we landed.   The cab driver was quite chatty and told me about his scheduling problems and was beginning on the faults of Obamacare when I arrived at my snowy doorsteps.  He advised me to shovel before I tried to bright the 51 lb bag up the front steps.  I followed his advice and shoveled my path to the garage as well.

Then I sorted my mail, emptied some of my luggage, had a snack and it was time to catch the bus to Albany.  This time I didn't hear any  conversations about parole officers but just before I was getting off, people were giving a young woman directions on which bus to get for the Rensselaer County Jail.  I hope she was just visiting.  I walked down Lark Street as it was getting dark so I took a bunch of photos of the snow covering cars and tree branches with the street lights on.  I must have taken too long because Kara called and interrupted my photo taking on my cell.  I was just a block or so away so all was well.  The film was very good and I was home in time to finish unpacking and fill my laundry basket for tomorrow.

Hi. I work for the Lark Street BID & saw your pictures of snowy Lark Street. Would you mind if we saved a couple of the pictures that you took of the street for our use? We would be happy to credit your work if you let me know how you would like it done. Thank you. www.larkstreet.org
