We packed up the car and set off for Sunriver by driving past Mt Hood. With the increase in elevation, it is colder and snowier. There are places along side the highway for people to put on their chains and many were doing just that. With studded snow tires, Serge could drive without chains but visibility was hampered by the icing up of the windshield wipers. The tall conifers covered in snow made beautiful scenery despite the iffy driving. Poor Theo doesn't like to be confined in the carseat so he had some bad moments but we made it to Sunriver and Nikki picked up the rental house keys. Nikki's sister Nancy with daughter Alex and Nikki's Mom Yvonne were close behind us so we all settled in and stocked the kitchen with all the food. Nancy's husband Jason arrived a little later and then we waited for Kim, Chuck and Brianna but they had problems with their 4-wheel drive and went back home to start again the next day.
Everyone was tired and went to bed fairly early.
