There was a 6 am start today. We ate our own food for breakfast and lunch on the road. Pee stops were in the open steppe. The second stop had pits with toilet paper already in them. We were driving north on the famous Ruta 40, a dirt road with lots of construction.-- some paved, some not ready yet.
We stopped off for Cueva de las Manos. Millenia ago, young boys around 8-9 years old put hand prints in outline on cave walls. One showed a 6-fingered hand. There were also some animal pictographs: guanaco mostly.
After more driving, we got to Perito Moreno near Lago Buenos Aires around 7 pm. Our campground has $6 upgrades but I am sharing a tent with Lou tonight. Deb has a solo tent again.
