We packed up and left by 7 am.  We drove through more ranches with sugar cane, cattle, and soybean crops.  There were more small farms and towns.  Somewhere we passed a rodeo but did not stop.  I realized that the.fields of grazing cows were actually zebu or zebu blends.  I was surprised...I thought those humps on their necks looked familiar but I hadn't connected them with the cattle in Madagascar.

We did not get to our hostel until around 6 pm.  I went to bed at 9:30.  Most days it was hard to stay up for dinner and I usually went to bed right after finishing dinner.  Except when it was my cook group's turn because then we also had to clean up and it could take a few hours.  I was going to do some hand washing of laundry but I couldn't find the light switch in the laundry area so I decided to turn some clothes into the laundry service.  It was generally a lot easier because either there wasn't always drying space or I was afraid I would forget my clothes when we left...and then what would I wear since I already had such a limited wardrobe.

The other Dragoman truck was already at the campsite when we arrived but it left the next morning.  Dragoman was trying to split us up so that we wouldn't overtax the facilities and so we would have a more personal experience.  This campsite had nice warm showers and softer ground but the computers were all booked up - or appeared to be - so I didn't try to get on the first day.
