Today we traveled through central Maine into New Hampshire and finally into Vermont. The trip along route 2 is very scenic with views of the mountains in every direction. There were some stretches where we would ride along a stream in the valley. There aren't any large cities along the route but plenty of small towns. The area is very similar to western Virginia. At one point we thought we had crossed into Mexico but we hadn't. We were too far north for that and the landscape didn't look anything like Mexico. We were in Mexico, ME. After taking a photo of the Mexico welcome sign we continued on. Our final resting spot will be Montpelier, VT at the Comfort Inn. That's 2 nights straight in a hotel. I'm hoping to find some good camping soon.
