7/30/2010 – Richmond, VA
I can't believe it but this is the last
leg of this trip. We will head to Richmond today to visit my wife's
brother. We took the scenic route out of southwest Virginia. We
took route 16 over the mountains and through Hungry Mother State
Park. The views from the top of the mountain were great. We made a
stop at Hungry Mother visitors center. We will definitely have to
come back to camp here one day. We met some folks a few years ago
who told us about the park but we had never been there to check it
our for ourselves.
After passing through Hungry Mother we
merged onto I-81 and headed to Roanoke where we picked up highway 460
and headed for Richmond. We got on highway 360 in Farmville. We
have now completed a full circle around the United States. We
started our trip on 360 heading to Danville and now we were heading
to Richmond.
