Time flies!!!! I cannot believe it is August already! So, wow, I have spent the last 5 months in Brisbane staying with the awesome Hunt family and working. I'm sure like me they didn't realise I'd be with them so long! But I now feel like I have a second family which is awesome. Its sad to leave them but the adventure continues, which without the Hunts generosity and support would have been cut short.
Its funny, I now feel like I am on the home bound stretch of the travels. Leaving Brisbane I feel is the marker for this, because August is my last month in Oz and then I have two and a half months in NZ and a month in Mozambique. So to me, time feels short! I am thoroughly looking forward to going home but also thoroughly looking forward NZ and Moz (I think I could burst with excitement!).
On Thursday 5th August I flew to Adelaide to see friend Kim and her fiance Dan, I met Kim in the USA last summer when we worked at the same camp in Georgia and Dan when he visited her. It is sooooo great to see friends again especially when you haven't seen them for a long time and that after seeing them, it will again most likely be a long time. Also the fact they are getting married in a few weeks time is exciting, as they prepare to go to the USA and get married and then again in Oz. (I think its a sign of my age because a number of friends are getting married this year!).
Adelaide is a delightful city - very different from Brisbane and Sydney - much quieter and chilled atmosphere which is great. It has a good few plus points over the other cities... one, loads of free wifi points, two, a tram that runs through the city and is free within city limits, and three, free 2 hour bike hire within the city limits. Yes, I am a cheapo! Okay other than the free stuff theres also the Central Market which is a fun and lively place to buy all sorts of food including kangeroo tail and camel burgers. Kim and Dan took me out to the hills were we drove through loads of vineyards, went to the whispering wall, saw the giant rocking horse (largest in the world) and spoke to talking birds (very cool!). The place that Kim lives, Hallett Cove, is a beauty - the beaches are rocky which I like far more than just sandy ones as there is far more to explore!
Okay, so in a quick run down here are some other places I have visited... Brighton to Glenelg Esplanade walk, Glenelg, saw St Peters Church, Rundall Mall, Hahndorf (German influenced town). And other places I plan to visit include... Art Gallery of South Australia, South Australia Musuem, Port Adelaide, Elder Park. So I am in Adelaide for another week and then leave by car to drive the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne.
As an aside...on August 1st I hit my quarter of a century! 25 years of age, wow.... I think I am thoroughly blessed with the opportunities I have had in my life, and the friends and family who have supported me as I have trotted off to other countries for different lengths of time. At the moment I am always excited to be getting older (long may it continue!) as wonder what the next year will hold and what exciting things God's got in store.

Hi Debs
Happy happy birthday - glad you are liking 25 - that's a great age! Have a fantastic time in NZ and especially Mozambique - I guess Lisa is back in UK now and Heather will be there. God bless you in all you do. Love Trish
