Where I stayed
Phill and Brons
We set off from Bathgate and we soon on the highway, Katherine was crammed in the passengers seat as the foot well was nursing Josh's stuff that he asked us to bring down for him to London. The steering felt a little bit wishy washy and didn't really know why as the tires weren't flat or anything. It would come apparent when we stopped to get fuel just passed Carlise. Pulled into the servo to get some Diesel and upon filling up I notice that the car seemed to be sitting quite heavy in the back. Which was quite understandable with all of the stuff that was crammed into the back. Put it this was most cars have the type sitting with about an inch or so gap between the top of the tire and wheel well. Our tires were sitting about 2 or 3 inches into the wheel well hence the wishy washy steering. Katherine decided to drive after filling up for a wee bit which was great as I was tired and she had just had a nap in the car. The next 3 or so hours I can't really tell you about as I was pulling Zs. I did wake when we were about 30mins from Stony Stratford. We ended up coming her as Katherine's parents lived here about 30 years about when they were living in the UK. We say the house that they lived and then when to the church where they got married. We had a look around this quaint town and grabbed some lunch from the local boots. If ever you are looking for a cheap lunch, go to boots after 2:30 and grab a sandwich as they were all 75p and we got 3 half sandwiches for that! After lunch we decided to hit the road and headed to Crawley, we ended up arriving at 4:30pm so we did really good time! Phill helped us get everything out of the car and couldn't believe how things just keep on coming out of Maddy. She was like Mary Poppins bag as it just seemed impossible that more and more and more just keep on coming. For some reason it was so much quicker emptying Maddy than filling her up. We had a great night seeing the kids and also Phill's family who were visiting from Australia and awesome to hear the raw accents. Well it is time to sign off as we are off to Dublin tomorrow.
