Well, here's the last entry from Dallas. My room is squared away (all the stuff that was on the floor is now neatly hidden). My goodbyes are said, emails sent, and bags packed. Yesterday was a sort of turning point for me; I was caught between leaving people behind and moving ahead. But now, I think I've tied up all loose ends and am ready to move forward.

At the last minute, I decided not to take the pillow, and instead to take a few more clothes. I can always use those to sleep on, but it's harder to wear a pillow. After much debate, I also decided to take my mp3 player. I figure it will be very nice to be able to listen to some music every once and a while. I went with music that I don't listen to much, more of stuff my dad likes: Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Young, Van Morrison, REM, U2. Very few country songs. And some classical, too. You can't go wrong with Chopin or Bach.

I don't really have much to say today that I didn't before. I'm not expecting to be able to update more than once a week, but we'll see. It also may be hard to upload pictures while I'm there, but as soon as I get back, you can expect a smorgasbord when I get back. I'm borrowing a camera from my friend Chris, my phone will hold about 200, and my dad is taking a camera too. So we should be all set on pictures. Well, I'm off to finish things up here in Dallas. Next update should be from the other side of the world.
