On Wednesday night, we had the MACC night fiesta for this three-week session. Dinner was make-your-own chicken fajitas.

A female mariachi band provided the entertainment. They were great. The only problem was that, due to the heat, we were all squashed into the Fiesta Room where we eat our meals. There was no room for the mariachis to walk around. They sang a few songs to men in the room. One mariachi sang a song to me. I don't know what she was singing, but I heard "corazon" here and there so I guess she was singing a love song about her heart. People thought I was a great sport for playing along with the singer.

Earlier in the day, I went to a chiropractor for an adjustment. Tuesday afternoon my back started hurting. Nothing in particular caused it, I just think my back gave me a warning signal that it needed some help. When I went to the Bijou movie theater at the Crossroads Mall a few weeks ago, I walked past a chiropractor's office and remembered the info in case I needed it. I called on Wednesday morning. They work out of the South Park Mall on Wednesdays, so off I went for a 1:00 PM appointment. The chiropractor is an older man in his late 50s, early 60s. He pushed and cracked and now I'm good to go.

I was planning on getting my haircut this weekend before leaving San Antonio. The South Park Mall has a couple of hair salons, so I got my hair chopped off before returning to MACC. The stylist did an okay job, but she cut it a little shorter than usual. Oh, well, "Que sera, sera."

All of us who have been here for five weeks are ready to leave. One of the teachers said the last week is the hardest to get through because everyone has had enough. She also said she will lighten up on the homework to give us a break.
