We endured our first full day of classes today. So I had the full contingent of grammar and conversation classes. I also did my time in the language lab, completing homework while listening on headphones for an hour. I also did another hour of homework.
We had some excitement today. A young priest from Detroit, Fr. James, is experiencing severe stomach pains, so I drove him to the nearest doctor at lunch time. The doctor thinks it's kidney stones, so the priest is going to the hospital on Thursday for further testing. At least now I know where the closest doctor is should I need one (less than five minutes away by car). We also have a CVS within walking distance.
Meals today:
Breakfast - continental breakfast with bagels, donuts, scones, and fruit
Lunch - chicken and vegetable empanadas
Dinner - make your own chicken soft tacos
So far the food has been delicious. I am also drinking my fill of sweet tea.
Probably will head to the Alamo on Saturday with Chuck, a seminarian from the Diocese of Monterey, California.
