Battambang is a sleepy little town, but a lovely one to spend a few days cruising around on motorbikes and wandering through the streets. The country side is beautiful and the locals friendly. Danayi has reduced the celebrity of being a white man I felt in places in Africa to nothing. The shock and awe she produces in Asia is astonishing with reactions ranging from laughter, huge smiles, fear, disgust, and slack jawed wonder. All of these were showcased (except disgust thankfully) during our time driving through a country side that sees few tourists, fewer Black ones.
After a few days of good eating and excellent exploration we boarded a bus to Phnom Penh, the capital.
