So after visiting the tourist office yesterday we decided to get up early and catch a bus to the Tierra del Fuego national park and do some walking. We put on all our layers and fleeces and headed out to brave the cold!

The national park itself was beautiful, and it took us about an hour to actually get to the part of the park where the trails were. We even passed a golf course which was part covered in snow, which must be the southern most golf course in the world! We skipped the option of taking the "Train to the end of the World" because it seemed a bit expensive on top of the park entry fee, and carried on in the bus to the start of the trails.

We had a great day walking around, and didn't bump into many people outside of the main viewing points which was nice, and the landscape was amazing. We saw quite a few birds and lots of hares, and a red fox even wandered across our path and stared us down at one point. One of the paths took us to a an active beaver dam where we stopped for some food, but unfortunately we didn't see any beavers.

After our day walking we had a nice relaxing evening not doing a great deal. We decided to book online a last minute flight to our next destination, El Calafate, for the evening the next day. It wasn't much more expensive than the coach and instead of having to take 2 buses and it being nearly 20 hours, it would be a 90 min flight! Seemed like a good idea.
