Where I stayed
Once we arrived at Pinel Island we found a couple beach chairs and plopped ourselves down, only to find out it cost $25 to rent those chairs - We tried to barter, but to no avail. We had brought our snorkeling gear with us, but came to find that the snorkeling was not all they had talked it up to be
We had planned on having grilled lobster on the beach for lunch, as many of travel guides had talked this up. There were 3 restaurants on the island. We started at the first place and sat down only to find that they never returned to take our order. So we moved on to the 2nd place (Up on the Key) only to find out they had no lobster. The 3rd place told us that all the tables were reserved (even though there was no a sole eating lunch yet). So we went back to the 2nd place since the service seemed best and actually had a wonderful lunch. But what an experience just trying to get lunch!
After taking the ferry back to St. Martin we stopped at a french pattiserie (bakery) on the way home and bought a couple wonderful desserts to share this evening ( as well as some yummy breakfast pastries for tomorrow). David did his grill magic yet again this evening - we had grilled mahi mahi!
It was a wonderful anniversary and I couldn't have asked for more. Wonderful husband and wonderful day! I am a blessed woman!
