We've spent the last couple of days at Lake Atitlan in the western highlands of Guatemala. Such a beautiful and scenic spot, you could easily spend much longer. We stayed in the busiest little town, mainly so we have an easy connection to Mexico 2moro. We were tempted to stay in one of the quieter towns, but took a boat around a couple of them today and although beautiful and tranquil, perhaps a little too quiet! It was lovely to go see them though. We hired out bikes yesterday and cycled some hilly and cobbly streets into another couple of towns. It was like stepping into different worlds, all the women wear traditional clothing and the streets are made up of cobbled paths. Tourism has had very little impact...hopefully it stays that way!
