Magic Kingdom is probably the best known of the Disney resorts and for good reason, as I will discuss later on.
This was our (wife, grandson) visit to Florida and also to Disneyworld. We were going on a cruise so wanted to include a short couple of visits to Disney whilst in the area prior to our departure on the 5th Feb.
We had rented a car for the week and simply followed signs from Kissimmee to get to the Magic Kingdom, which is HUGE.  The signs are easy to follow and when you reach the parking lot you are suddenly aware that this is a really BIG place!  The logisitics of getting thousands of people from cars in these massive parking lots into and out of Disneyworld is a big task, but one that the staff and their processes handled smoothly.
We paid at the gate and were soon inside the Magic Kingdom, where we were greeted with happy Disney tunes during our whole stay. It is hard not to get a bit happy at the very least as you hear these well known tunes in the background all day long.
At the entrance there are autograph books for sale, but there are long line-ups to get the characters to sign them so I would save my money on that expenditure. If you want to stand in line, go ahead and take a photo that you can add to a book at some later time. (Just my 2 cents here).
There is also baby carriages you can rent at the entrance if you have not brought your own or have a youngster who might get tired by the end of a long day.  Our 6 yr. old got tired and we ended up going back there to rent one about 3 in the afternoon as he was getting tired. (We all were, but nobody would push us around, heh heh).
There are no really scary rides here, as it is geared for the younger set, and does not disappoint in that regard.  We saw 3 different parades during our day which was pretty amazing, and the people were all happy and engaged in what they were doing, which was evident in their mannerisms.
Since we really had only 1 day for this theme park, we tried to see most of it but did not get a lot of time to truly explore the whole park.  We will definitely be back, only with more time to spend.
NOT TO BE MISSED is the fireworks at night.  These happen for about 10 minutes sometime around 9:00 PM I think.  They were really spectacular, and I have seen my share of fireworks.
All in all, a "Must-See" for young and old.
