We spend out last day going around saying our good-byes and cleaning the house, doing laundry (clean sheets for the next people coming to the house) and emptying the fridge.
Hasta luego, Puerto Morelos. Will hopefully be back next year.
As sad as I am to once again be heading home, I have to admit to a certain excitment at the thought of sleeping in my own bed. Maybe not tonite as I will be spending the nite in the Vancouver airport. There is a lot to be said for direct flights. As much as I have enjoyed avoiding Homeland Security by flying Westjet and bypassing the USA, Canada has much to learn about comfort for those that must spend a lot of time between flights. LAX has restaurants, internet that actually works and seats that you can stretch out on. SEA is warmer and shops that are open later for food and some entertainment like TV. YVR has comfortable seats, but the only food avail is Burger King with 12.00 burgers, internet that was non-functioning, A/C that is reminiscent of the North Pole and no TV. It is, however, sparkling clean, beautiful and lots of security. Time to go home, I am beginning to sound whiny!
