Well, we made it. We're at our home in lovely Palmdale, all in one piece. In conclusion, we decided each of us should write a paragraph or two summarizing our experiences over the last seventeen days. Here they are.

Cheryl:
I think it was a combination of faith and optimism that made us think that taking our family 3000 miles in a vehicle that we had only had out for one night so far was a good idea. Well, it was a good idea. Vince was a tireless, skilled driver and Adam and Greg were troopers and always willing to lend a hend. We laughed and joked our way along and I am very glad we went. I was going to say that after driving across America and back we discovered that there is no place like home, and while that's true because it's always nice to come home after being away for a while, that 35 foot long piece of metal felt like home while we were in it. It's been great fun doing the blog. I want to thank Adam for being our main man on the blog. Each day, whoever's turn it was would write their word doc and pick out the pictures to be used, then   Adam would post it for us. We couldn't have done it without him. Or maybe we could have but we'd have been slower.   Thanks for checking in with us once in a while and sharing our road trip.

Vince:
Well we made it, and have a lot of fun memories. Thanks to my copilot and navigator Cheryl - I would be lost without you.  Some of the best memories weren't at the planned stops, just the things that happened along the way. Driving the motorhome in the cities was a real challenge - luckily Cheryl had the maps and the GPS and the triptick all going and plotting out a route for us. Her decisions to walk once we found a parking spot, kept us from having any fender-benders along the way. She learned to tame the infamous GPS (Bitching Betty) and it became her go tool (but yet Cheryl claims to not be a techie). Tourism was really down at all of the venues. This made the trip a lot more enjoyable. We paid higher gas prices, but it was priceless to visit these national treasures without the normal summer crowds. It was nice to see my two boys getting along so well, and also being polite and pleasant to the people we encountered along the way. The weather cooperated the whole way. We got rain on days that would have been hot long drives, and sun on the days we needed it. I was prepared with a toolbox and repair stuff but never had to use any of it. I guess we got some good luck - which we all need once in awhile.   Hope you enjoyed the Blog - we had fun creating it. We have already picked out some spots we need to hit on the next trip.

Greg:
Our trip was very fun and was something that I will remember for the rest of my life. We saw some amazing sights such as the cliffs in Zion National Park or the lush forests up in New York. I got to see my cousins in New York and I also got to meet up with some of my old friends from when I was little when we went to Tracy's house. My favorite part of the trip was probably Zion because it was just really breathtaking and was fun to climb around in. This was probably our best vacation, compared to going to Hawaii and Florida, which were some of our previous vacations.

Adam:
It's been amazing. I didn't realize being trapped in a small container with three other people could be so much fun! It was really nice to be able to visit everybody in New York, and see Tracie and her children again. I hadn't seen them in years. Of course, the best part (no offense) was the scenery and the things we saw. My favorite was Utah, which had a landscape that looked like it came out of a painting with all the colors of the dirt and hills and cliffs-but I enjoyed everything we did. Even Wall Drug. This trip gave me countless priceless memories. I will always remember it.
