Arrived early in the morning, having left early in the morning (12:10) of the 31st Jan, flew over the international date line and hence didn't officially know when it became the new year. ALl time seems to get suspended in flight, the captain certainly makes no announcement, so no chiming bells or singin Auld Lang Syne for me Im afraid. Got a transfer to accommodation as part of the service in the backpackers place, and a party was going on in the bar. By the time I had taken a shower and gone back, the bar was closed and waiting for remaining customers to clear out - boo hoo! well back to the room to crash out the duty free vodka I was carrying with me ..
