When I woke up today, I put on my white T SHirt. I havent worn a whote T-Shirt in quite a while so when I saw myself in the mirror I was just shocked. My skin looks ORANGE! My face is so dark that I think I am starting to look like some kind of freak. I knew I was dark but I didnt realize how dark until I put on my white T-Shirt. I am definitely going to stick to the shade for the next litthe while. I will also wear my cap more often as I havent been doing that lately. This is only because my hair has gotten quite long and I sweat too much if I put a cap on. I guess I will have to tough it out.  It would probably be a good idea if I put on sun screen as I hardly ever put it on.

Before heading out to the beach, I checked out the bus schedule at the bus station as I need to meet Franca tomorrow night in Dubrovnik. I also checked out the boat schedule from Split to Hvar which would help me figure out what time we need to return to Split from Dubrovnik on the 2nd of August. I decided I would leave at 10 am tomorrow for Dubrovnik and return to Split the next day by taking the 5 am bus so we could catch the 11 am catamaran to Hvar. I am not sure what Franca is going to think about getting up at 4 am on her first day on holiday but it is thebest plan I could come up with.

I was lucky enough to find some shade at the beach. Unfortunately, this meant being surrounded by old people and pregnant women all day. Some of them looked at me like I was invading their space and that I had no reason to be there. I wanted to scream at them and say @Look at me! I look like George Hamilton. I deserve to be here more than anyone else@.

After the beach, I followed the same routine as yesetrday. I went to the local grocery store and grabbed supper. This time I had a baguette, Croatia's version of spam along with a can of Lasko beer. Again, I returned to my spot on the bench by the sea. I really enjoy this part of my day. Nothing beats this simple dinner by the sea.

Tomorrow I am off to Dubrovnik.
