10 months ago we left London for our overland trip back to Australia but for some reason we find ourselves back here for our Russian, Chinese and Mongolian Visas. So here we are back at our starting point.

Arriving in London it felt like we had never left. Cold, Grey skies with the clouds so low over your head it felt like they were sitting on your shoulders, with that light constant drizzle that never washes clean the streets just makes it mucky. We didn't really plan on staying long here that first day Shona headed out to find out about the Russian visa, the hardest of all to get. We won't go into all the details but it took at least 4 days before we had everything to hand the Russian Visa in and then got told that it would take at least 3 weeks. GREAT 3 weeks plus another for the Chinese and Mongolian means we won't be leaving until the end of February.
At least we won't be heading through Siberia in the middle of winter, we just looked it up and guess what it's -40C. Cricky -40C brrrrrrr.

Anyway back to the present. We have now been here a week catching up on the touristy things we never managed to do in the Dino 15 years and Shona 5 years of living here.

Due to the unexpected amount of time here and the fact that London is extortionately expensive Dino has started to work again. We are trying to avoid eating into our trip money until our visas arrive. So here we sit just thinking about our future travels.
