Where I stayed

We woke up today with the intension of making our way to Munchen (Munich), after showering, packing and eating our way through a leisurely breakfast we went to the train station to see what our options where. Well after Shona had to drag Dino away from a couple of conversations with other travelers.

There was two options available the first was at 11.07 or the second was 16.24 arriving at 22.45. The current time was 10.30. After the Interlaken experience we chose the 11.07. So obviously we only had roughly 30 minutes until departure.
We had no food for our journey or any accommodation booked for Munich. Dinoīs job was to get the food while Shona had to book the accommodation, bearing in mind that it was a Saturday night I think Shona probably had the tougher job. We had looked up some places the previous night, but as we thought we might be able to catch a lift with the DJ, and probably stay with him a couple of nights we thought we might be able to save a bit of money by not booking anything. This was really the start of our problems.
Shona started frantically looking for places to stay but as we said earlier it was Saturday and we also found out later that there was a big football match on in Munich that day, everything we had in mind was booked, even the 40 bed dorm only had 1 bed available.
15 minutes before our train departed we just booked anything that had 2 beds available, not knowing where it was located or anything about it apart from the fact that it definitely was not the cheapest option.

So off to Munich we ran, knowing that when we arrived we will most likely be hopelessly lost again in another city. But at least this time with the sun shining down on us.

Arriving in Munich we found our hostel with the greatest of ease, granted we did get lost once, but considering we didn't have a map on arrival, and the one that we did manage to get, we were not to be found on it. We feel that we did pretty bloody well.

To reward ourselves with this miraculous achievement off we went to one of Munich beer gardens. It was true love at first sight. We paid €6.80 for a Litre of beer each. Dino didnīt feel himself and wasnīt able to finish it.

Arriving home a bit worse for wear we still had to find accommodation for the next two nights. We are not sure if it was the drink or if was our natural instincts but we chose two different hotels as they were both the cheapest. Two more days two more changes.

We are sure you can imagine that after you have drunk a Litre of beer that a bathroom may be something you will require in desperate need. Unfortunately you may have noticed that Shona is a girl. Of coarse the girls bathroom was busy. Out of desperation alone she thought she may as well try the blokes. Of coarse she walked in on a drunk peeing who had just forgotten to lock the door. On his way out he pointed out to her that it was a blokes toilet she had just tried to get into. She understood, but thought he still could have locked the door. She waited for three blokes to go in and out again of the blokes toilet before the toilet flushed in the ladies. After several more minutes waiting, a bleary eyed drunken bloke who could barley stand walked out of the ladies. Shona wished she could tract down the guy she had walked in on just to point out that she had just cause for trying the blokes.
