What a ride, 36 hourīs on the "Pride of Bilbao" with a bunch of drunken English people (you know which ones Grey hair, tatīs on there arms, pale, drunk at 10 in the morning etc) and with no where to escape to...
When we finally made it to Bilbao and the bus station, escaping the yobboes, we were really impressed, a huge, imposing building, but you needed tickets before you got into it, oh wait no apparently that was the local television station we had managed to get confused with the bus station. No wonder we were not let in. We were kindly told where it actually was just across the road.
We had our first taste of Tapas at the bus depot, great little baguettes filled with ham and cheese and some freshly squeezed orange juice.
We spent all morning looking for Gate 36, as this is what we believed it said on the ticket, granted it was only an assumption, but the gates only went up to 29. We found it in the end at gate 14 and just sat where ever we wanted. The guy behind us on the bus was acting really odd he kept moving every time someone got on the bus. Apparently it was seat 36 not gate 36 and we had been sitting in the poor guys seat.
Iīm glad to see that our knowledge of Spanish is going really well, should be an interesting trip.
more adventures to follow but for now Adious from us
