Roadtrip - Day Two
Mileage: 411.1 miles (959.9 total)
Starting Location: Bloomington, IN
Ending Location: Wardell, MO
---------------------------------
So, Day Two started with a lovely breakfast and hanging out with Kelly before she had to go to work. Yay for bagels + peanut butter! Plus I got an early start (about 8am). I had looked at the map the night before, to get some sense of where I wanted to end up, but didnt really make up my mind. So I just drove the direction I wanted, and looked for a place to stop. I ended up passing through St. Louis, MO, and heading directly south along I-55 right along the Mississippi River.
I took several pictures along the way, including many while I was in a traffic jam in downtown St. Louis. Pretty crazy traffic there... But I was glad to have the time to get some pictures of the Arch. I continued south, and stopped in Perryville, MO at the Walmart to pick up some supplies. Batteries, and silverware (for eating Ramen). I got a weird look from the cashier for that one :-)
After that, I was very seriously looking for a place to camp. Most of the campgrounds I saw, didnt have sites for regular tents, or had no camping at all. So I ended up driving a bit further than I was planning. I almost got to Arkansas. I'm right in the South-east corner in Wardell, MO. I found a nice KOA campground, with everything I need, including free wifi!!! W00t! My only complaint is it's a bit noisy, being almost right next to the highway. But oh well, at least I found a campsite, I was starting to think I'd end up in Texas before finding one!
Thats all for Day Two,
