Grey skies an fewer tourists meant a very easy passage and space to visit the castle museum and tower today. The tower had been visible to us; even thro our bedroom window, ever since we arrived. An adventure climbing the narrow and rickety staircase and the view was worthwhile when we got there. there were 360 degree of the village and surrounds, so i could maximise the use of my new camera with its panorama capacity. A great new toy!! The terracotta rooftops dominate the scene, in their patchwork of shapes according to all the small houses.
The museum contained a mixture of history via family paintings, household items (even a commode), religious artefacts (including a saints jewel covered skeleton), military and armoury items and cinema of old film of the castle and CK. Lunch at a recommended local cafe of soup and garlic rubbed toast. yum' and so good we decide to return there for dinner.!!

Afternoon visit to Museum Fotoatelier Seidel, the museum of Joseph and his son which had a vast collection of historical photographs and equipment. Joseph built the art nouveau house specifically to have his studio and laboratory at about 1900. Only in recent years was the treasure trove of equipment, boxed and labeled glass slides and negatives chronicling the local and Czech and bordering nations history from late 1800's found in the abandoned house.
The rain had started by the time we left which drove us indoors to our pension for the rest of the day. Our evening meal was of very traditional spicy pork and vegetables, and steak, onions and beet salad. All this with about a Kilogram of potatoes which were beyond us to eat. Michael always has his desert space and relished the apple strudel desert.
