Where I stayed
The safari was amazing but also a little challenging and now I need to rest for a couple of days.
Back to Nairobi I follow Chris and Kathie to the Wildebeest Camp where they stayed before.
I like it a lot! The accomodation is in a permanent-tented camp, so I get a large safari-like tent that accomodates a queen size bed and a lot of space for my stuff. Well, after six days in the savanna a decent bed and a real toilet is definitely apreciated!

The main house from the garden (from Tripadvisor).
I don't have any pictures of the camp but here there are plenty: Wildebeest photos on tripadvisor
The atmosphere at the camp is great. The guys are very helpful, the food is good and although it's a budget place the age range of the people here is a little more like my age than in the place I stayed before and I quickly find many new friends.
I ended up staying five nights at the Wildebeest. Plenty of time to relax and visit Nairobi.
I got used to shop at Uchumi and Nakumatt (the main local supermarket chains), we went to see the movies (Iron Man 2, at least I skipped sex and the city 2!).
I visited the National museum:

(well, it was ok. Here is a specimen of a bird)
One night we went to the very famous Carnivore Restaurant and although they don't serve game meat anymore we had a lot of drinks to make up for it.

I also paid a visit to the US Embassy memorial.

The US Embassy in Nairobi was bombed in August 1998 by Al-Qaida, the area is now a memorial to the 213 people who died that day.
We spent a bit of time in the museum featuring some pictures and other memories of that day, a video reconstruction of the events, and a LOT of picture of President Obama's last visit in Kenya! Definitely Kenyans are very proud of the his Kenyan Roots ;)
Nairobi is not bad. Most claims that it's a very dangerous city are probably ovestated and it has a lot to offer. It's worth a visit.
