Yes I made it to Wales head cold and all. I had almost no voice but I refused to miss the opportunity. After a three hour bus ride there we arrived. Getting there the scenery was pretty. Fields of green and lots of sheep and cows, Wales is known for their sheep I think. I got to Cardiff Wales with my friends in one piece even though the bus driver was definitely speeding most of the way. We got off and made our way to Cardiff Castle. It was a very pretty Castle. The inside is gorgeous though you're not allowed to take pictures of it. We wandered around the Castle for a few hours taking pictures and climbing the towers. We then went and bought some souvenirs to remember our time there. I got my roommate a little sheep for her birthday because she's from California and had never seen them before so she was fascinated by them. We then wandered the streets of Cardiff window shopping at stores and peeking down the little streets. There was a game going on in the afternoon Wales vs. London so it was hard for us to find somewhere to eat. We wanted to try traditional Welsh food but all the places serving it were already booked for the game. We found a place and had some lunch. We stayed for a little longer then caught out bus home. All in all Wales was a fun and quite place until a game starts.
Sunday I went and visited with family and it was lovely. Finding my way on the train was a little adventure cause some of the lines shut down but I made it just fine. I loved seeing everyone even if I didn't have much of a voice to talk. We had such a great meal for dinner. It was so delicious, the meals at school are ok but they seem to be hit or miss and lately it has been a lot of misses.
I have been busy with school work lately. I'm working on three very different papers. One on proteins for Biology, one on Lithuanian Trading Policies for International Management (no I did not pic this topic), and one on either The Futile System in London under William I or The Bayeux Tapestry I haven't decided yet.
In other news my going to Prague for spring break has fallen through. So my friend Angela and I are thinking of doing Portugal, Spain, and Morocco for spring break. I've been looking at prices and even though it's the off season it's a bit expensive. But when else will I get to do a trip like that. Let me know what you think of our trip idea... two ladies on a 10 day Protégées/ Spanish/ African adventure.
Sound like a blast to me... We'll see still more planning to do and nothing has been booked.

Love to my friends and family<3

Ps. The photo up loader is not working for some reason so I've emailed travelpod and hopefully it will be fixed soon so I can post more pictures.

Whales at Wales
So did you see any whales at Wales? Glad you had a nice time, off to the beaches for your break. Dad and I taught you well, a beach bunny from a young age. Hope they fix the site soon so we get more photos. Glad to hear your cold is better, had a great talk last night. Will keep an eye open for you to 'Skype' again when it is available.

Love you, Mom

Hi Diane -

Definitely check out Spain and Portugal during your break. Marisa and I loved these countries.

Not sure what to say about your roomie being fascinated by seeing sheep. I guess there are no local farms near where she lives in Calif?? (LOL)

You certainly have a diverse course load this term. Hopefully the work is not bad and you can get out and have some fun each day.

Looking forward to when you get this picture issue resolved.

I will be sending your b-day card shortly. Will give your M&D the check to be deposited into your account. Turning 21 in Europe - EXCELLENT! I wish we had these types of programs when I went to college. :-)
