This trip is rapidly coming to an end.  Today was pretty busy with a tour of the Charles Bridge Museum which was actually very interesting. Then Ooff to the outskirts of Prague to an environmental education center where they take kids to see what a farm is like -- gardens, animals -- pigs, chickens, horses, etc.  A wild cab ride to and from this environmental center was quite an experience -- I don't know how any sane person would every drive around this city.

We were given more money today -- what a pleasant surprise.  Every time I turn around the Fulbright coordinator is giving us money.  Since I only have a couple days to spend it -- we went off to shoe shop.  Didn't find any I liked, so I'll have to figure out how to spend some money -- the biggest requirement is that what every I buy has to weight next to nothing -- suitcase is getting a bit heavy.

This evening we went to see a puppet show opera of the Magic Flute by Motzart.  Pretty weird -- sung in German and the characters spoke in Czech.  I'm glad the member of our group who is a music teacher gave us a crash course on the story before we went.  It was an experience. . .

Another lecture tomorrow on teacher training in the Czech Republic then one last hike around Petrin Hill and some last minute shopping at a bookstore.

See you soon.
