The weather has cooled down and so have the irritations. Picked up at the hotel about noon today and just returned to the hotel around 10:00 PM. About 5 hours of this time was spent eating. Had a totally fabulous lunch today that lasted about 2 hours (they really take time for meals here) and then a lecture on the history of the Czech Republic. I want to have Laura make some fish like I had at lunch today -- it was a grilled perch or pike with a cream type sauce with a touch of horesradish. A walking tour of the inner ring followed and then . . . you guessed it, dinner. Dinner was another all out 2 and a half hour event. The food was really wonderful again. So basically today we walked from lunch to dinner.
After dinner we went to a modern dance theater performance. It was very graceful -- not sure how those dancers can move like they do. There wasn't much dialogue so it wasn't necessary to understand the talking parts to get the storyline.
Lectures start tomorrow at the university on the Czech Republic after 1989 - fall of communism. The afternoon is a Czech language lesson -- I already know some basics -- prosem, pivo, and dobry den (please, beer, and good day) which should get me started.

Oh great, now I am hungry! The food looks fabulous. Glad to hear things are cooler.
sounds like you have the important vocab down(: glad you are enjoying it and we'll have to talk about the fall of communism when back to school since i'd like to compare it to Armenia and the changes in china........
Laura never made me fish that looked like that!! I am sure that the dancers made you think of my dancing.
