A few days of relaxing and it was back on the bus, this time a 24hr journey to the far East side of Argentina, Porte de Iguasu, the Argentiian gateway to the wondrous Iguasu Falls.

And wow what a site they were!  Walking over the quiet rivers you have no idea about the magnitude of the falls.  The serentity of the place is broken as you get closer by the noise of the massive volume of water, it really is an incredible site and the view so different at every angle.

We eventually managed to tear ourselves away from the falls and headed along a 3.5k walk (the Marcada Trail) which ended at another smaller waterfall that flowed into a natural pool which we took full advantage of and dived straight in. The water was amazingly refreshing and strangely there was hardly anyone there so we managed to get the place to ourselves.  Not a bad way at all to spend the last day of the year!

Our hostel held a New Years Eve party around the pool, a BBQ and a cabaret show started off the evening.  Somehow both of us ended up being part of the entertainment... (Kev's hip moves finally paid off....) roll on 2011.
