            Not much happened here, except for one thing that really stuck out in my mind. Everybody was in a rush. Nothing new. Id seen both Canadas and the USA's capital cities in a matter of a week, and they both seem very down to earth cities, except for the people. They are all on missions.

            Another thing was customs. The security lady said to a Chinese guy in front of me twice, "Sir, this is America, you have to take off your shoes." I really didnt get that. And I bought my first duty free item. A litre of rum for 14 USD. Not bad. It will definetly be used...

The author is correct - The US customs personel wants to make sure your are secure and the Canadian customs personel wants to know what you are taking out of the country...
