There was an afternoon thunderstorm that we worried about given that we were sleeping in the tent that night.

The skies cleared and we figured we'd make it through the night with no rain.

About 3 am all hell broke loose.  A thunderstorm went right over us, flash - boom, flash - boom, for about 1/2 hour.  The thunder bounced off the mountains and really sounded worse than it probably was.  We huddled in the tent, the storm passed and then we went back to sleep. 

We kayaked on the lake the following morning while our tent stuff was drying out.  Spectacular.
