Time to move ....
Saw a beautiful sunrise in Houston. It has been nice & quiet driving so early each mornning.
We drove to Sam Houston Jones State Park in Louisiana; arriving in the early afternoon, just in time for lunch.
We can highly recommend Steamboat Bill's by Lake Charles for gumbo, boiled shrimp and fried bread(so good)
Steve was hoping for crawfish, but they did not serve them until evening(maybe a stop on our way home)
Sam Houston Jones was a nice state park....still the only tent campers around.
We had a sunny afternoon relaxing at the park and a great sunset.
We woke up to a warmer outside temperature (46) at 4 a.m. (and the tent heater had kept us cozy inside) and packed up for our next stop......Pensacola, Florida.

Looks as if Steve and Shona were able to soak up a few rays of sunshine! The view from your campsite looks amazing, lucky to have no one else around. You have all this beauty to yourself! Have fun as you continue your journey. Karen
