Traveling thru a portion of New Mexico and into Texas gave us a chance to see some wide open spaces and Big Sky.  Still cloudy and cold most of day as we drove to Van Horn, Texas.  It was windy, but sunny as as the Van Horn Weather Station indicated (see photo).

Again, we are the only tent campers....I think the RV's are laughing at us.

Smoked Brisket at the KOA cafe for dinner.  We are in Texas now!

Tonight we left the heater on all night and we were toasty and comfortable.  We woke up to a warmer morning....36 at 0400.   8)  We are getting good at fast camp packups.

Off to Austin, Texas to visit our friends Tom & Christie (Leah, Laura, Patrick) and Millie (the dog).
