We headed out for Arizona early Monday morning. The weather was up and down; sunny and then cloudy/rainy. We were hoping for no rain on our first camping night.
Lots of wide open spaces and desert.
Traveling is going fine. Stopping for Shona and lunch. Steve's homemade soup hit the spot.
We arrived in Benson around 3 pm. No rain and sunny. We got the campsite set up and enjoyed dinner as the sun went down. We were the only ones tent camping.....
Steve had a great idea to buy a heater for the tent and we were cozy for the first few hours before we went to sleep and turned it off.......
We we woke up at 0400 it was 23 degrees! Frost everywhere and the tent was icy cold.
Time to go......
We quickly broke camp and we saw a beautiful sunrise in New Mexico. The camera was MIA somewhere with the camp gear from our quick departure. No photo, but we were warm and enjoying the quiet drive.
Next stop Van Horn, Texas
