Where I stayed
Day 12 +/- 3100miles
This has been another great day.We came from Richfield Ut. to Leadville Co. and had the most wondeful drive. Hwy 70 has the best interstate scenery, overall, of any that we have been on. We had good weather, it was warm & cold in places, a little rain, and I just looked out the window of the motel and it is snowing now.
Leadville is a neat little old mining town (Gold & Silver) that boast of the highest elevation for any incorporated town in USA, 11,000'+-. Also Doc Holiday stayed hear for several yrs. At one time it had 108 Saloons. Most of the orignal buildings have been perserved and restored and in use. This town has one of those Narrow Guage R R, 2 1/2 hr ride. This is a good place to put on your to see list.
No wild life but Ralph showed up again but did not stay with us long, I think it is mating season for crows.
On to Pikes Peak next & wishing for a clear day.
