Went for a tramride
Hi all.
Another couple of days have gone by, We have again had a couple of great days.
There is are so many places available to go and see, and none will disappoint!
On Monday after first taking Ben to the rail station in Amersfoort, we went on to Arnhem and spend the rest of the day wandering through the Open Air Museum. It was a very interesting place, they had some old Tram's from the 60s, same tram's we had in Rotterdam when we were kids.
They took you from a working cheese factory to a old farmhouse as they were in the 1300's when family's lived all in one open space with animals ( Cows, sheep, Horses.) and did their cooking in the same space on a open fire. then on to another display like a old brewery, they also were making the beer like they did in the old days, dating back to 1340. And the beer they brewed was not bad, we all were given a taste.
It is a huge area, so you could take the tram from one area to the next stop. All in All, a great and another interesting day.
Tuesday, we decided to have a relaxing day, Gerry & Sonja hired some pushbikes and set off on the beautiful country roads around here. It turned out anything but relaxing, they peddled for most of the day, did not get back till 7 pm. We think they traveled some 100 km. So much for sore Bums and aching legs. The last 2 days have seen temperatures here in the low 30s.
So last night we closed the day of with fireworks!! (Thunderstorm).
Till next time.
