Ok, we had to sleep. We were back on the road a few minutes after 5 the next morning. We all felt revived having had showers and a comfortable bed after the first day on the road. So, now we head due west toward Kansas City!! Just after daylight we stopped for breakfast. This is when Will learned that the Uhaul had an oil leak. It's been a long time since I've heard an engine knock that loud. Once again, we fed the truck and ourselves. We then checked this truck stop for a dog chewy. All we found were Milk Bones...this didn't sit well with ol' Flash. So, we hit the road again. We passed some really neat things once it was daylight and we could see. There's an amusement park right off the interstate on the right. Of course it wasn't open as early as went through. We never figured out if it was just a local park or if it was owned by one of the biggys like Six Flags. We also got to pass where the KC Chiefs play. It looked like a nice stadium. Unfortunately, we didn't see it in time to take a picture of it. I tried every way in the world to get the shot but it was gone by too fast. But, if you really want to see it...look up the Chief's web site...it might be on there...just kidding. After KC, we headed north west toward Iowa. That stretch seemed to go on forever. There was a lot of nothing but farmland during this stretch. It was pretty but seemed like it took forever to get through.
