Where I stayed
hello again!
Just arrived in hot and humid Salta in Northern Argentina and Des is taking a nap after our 23.5hr bus ride from Iguazu. This was our second overnighter and we were expecting the same airplane style service we had on the bus from Buenos Aires with vino and blankets! As it was, the cheaper price was very evident in the cramped, toilet smelly bus with some cold meals.
Anyway, the falls were amazing and the national park is really well set up with lots of walkways and platforms to show you loads of view points. My least favourite by far were the walkways going right over where the falls dropped over the cliff but i made good use of the railings!
Youll be glad to know we managed to spend some quality time relaxing by the hostel pool in the sweltering heat and humidity. we were also treated to a huge thunderstorm when we popped into town so pulled up at a cafe and watched the storm rage over a couple of beers.
Our next part is exploring Salta and possibly hiring a car with some fellow travellers we met on the bus to explore the Quecha villages and scenery around here.
