Where I stayed

Today is our last day here, then it's a run to the border for India, I will be glad to leave, even though it did rain last night, it cleared the air of humidity and the stink of sewage,

I went outside this morning, it was actually bearable

It was fun and games last night, another 2 went down with severe dehydration, they had been drinking plenty, but they hadn’t hands enough salts and the water did nothing for them

I had to get the manager call an ambulance and get them to hospital (no one could find Adam and Polly and no one else would do anything to help, so I had to do it),

They saw a doctor and he gave em antibiotics and hydration drinks, instead of putting them on a dip and did all the usual tests on them (blood pressure, blood tests, temperature),

I thought they were going to have stay in overnight, glad to say they didn’t

It was just as well I did go along; someone had to sort out the bill for them and get them back to the hovel

We got back and Adam and Polly had returned, they didn’t really show much concern about them,

I went out and bought some more hydration powder for them, just in case

Dave and Shamus are back to the land of the living now, both have been really bad, I have had to keep an eye on them as well (I wonder who will help me if I go down? I don’t think I will, or I hope I won’t, I try and watch what I eat and wash my hands LOTS)

Oh, well its goodbye Pakistan and hello Amritsar, India (more bush camps and they can’t be any worse than the hovels we have been in)

Mate I think i would be asking for some money as the tour guide and driver are the ones that should be there 24/7 not expect other passengers to be the gopher so to speak and i do hope India will be a lot better and the trip finally does turn into a trip of a life time not a trip from hell

What a night mate- I am glad you are old school- look out for the necessary things, and the others are lucky that you are capable of helping them through at times like that. Your own lifestyle , and your willingness to be helpfull probably helps you cope better than some (In the building game, there are some real crap conditions to work in, despite health and safety) Also being fit for your (youthful) age must help........

Seems like you are a natural for this. Really tough and resilient. You should apply for a job and you can be making a packet escorting truckloads of innocents through Hell for the foreseeable future!
