What I did
Australian War Museum& Questacon

Yesterday Brett's dad Rob joined us for a couple of nights. This morning we headed off to the Australian War Museum. It was great having Rob with us to share his knowledge, especially of the guns and the swords. I personally loved the museum but found it very confronting seeing the pictures of all our service men that had their lives taken. Reading about the torture, starvation and  living conditions in Japan in the second world war were eye opening. The displays of military equipment, planes, tanks, submarines and other military displays were fantastic. Entry is by a gold coin donation and well worth the visit. I would highly recommend it. The only downfall was taking the boys as Mitchell tended to get bored and then be a pain in our butt!! It has made me want to read more books on our history and wars.

After we left the Australian war museum Brett, the boys and I headed off to Questacon. We were pretty tired after the museum so didn't enjoy it as much as we possibly could have. It was similar to Scienceworks. Even the boys lost their enthusiasm. We lasted about an hour and a half and it cost $70 to go in.

Back at the van we chilled out and played some games.

We headed to the local restaurant here in the caravan park for dinner where Lachlan enjoyed his chicken parma and shared a Hawaiian pizza with Brett. They are so much alike its scary.

Problems with taking kids travelling ... or anywhere for that matter! ... a seeming lack of interest in anything but their own "stuff".
