The day after the campsite in Cannes was a relaxing day with not much actually being done. We all used the free Wifi to make contact with home before we set off just before lunch to travel towards St Tropez. The 2 Hour drive along the coast was picturesque and we arrived in St Tropez being a little stunned with how small it was. I always heard about St Tropez being the playground for the rich, and excepted something more than a little coastal village. It was still very nice however, with a walk along the docks revealing boats up to 130ft. We left after a quick snack with the goal of finding somewhere nice to camp. About 20 minutes drive later we found a quaint little beach and camped in a carpark nearby. We decided it would be a good opportunity to bring out the inflatable double mattress and use it as a boat which provided some good laughs. That night was again an early one.

Today we ventured into Marseilles, France's second biggest city. I was shocked at how dirty the whole city was, and the amount of poverty present. I would say that it is the highest ratio of beggars per sq km I've seen. Most buildings were rundown apartments and the streets were all dirty. We only walked around for a couple of hours and saw at least 40 beggars, and noticed there was dog poo everywhere. We agreed it wasnt very nice and did not stay the full 4 hours of parking we had paid for. Aux en Provence was the next stop and gave us a chance to purchase our last dinners before going to Peter's house. We had a little competition and decided that we would all get 4 Euro to buy dinner with. Peter and Marc went for a mash an d canned meat combo while I had Hamburgers. Around 3 we left to find a spot to camp outside the city. We headed towards the bush and eventually put the van in a ditch on a remote road. After dinner we went for a walk to test the new BB guns we had bought. We got two new ones from Nice and they are a lot more powerful than the plastic one we already had. Powered by Co2 and shooting metal balls we were hoping to kill some rabbits however there werent any (that we could see anyway), and so called it a day. Now eight at night we are all heading to bed. We also did some planning for the rest of the trip in order to get in what we want to do. The main stops are still Peter's house, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Portsmouth, Brecon and Ireland and so we had to manage some time in order to do all these.
